This contemporary concrete bookend is conceived as a sculptural object at the intersection of minimalist architecture, raw materiality, and craftsmanship. Entirely designed by me—an architect—it explores the dialogue between proportion, restraint, and structural rigor.
Handcrafted in my studio in Spain, each piece is cast using high-performance concrete formulated with ultra-fine aggregates. This precise composition allows for sharp edges, pure geometry, and a high level of detail, translating architectural precision into a smaller scale.
Its ochre tone is not a surface finish, but an integral coloration achieved through natural mineral pigments mixed directly into the material. The result is a warm, deep, and lasting color, resistant to time and wear, bringing a subtle yet distinctive presence to any interior.
The silhouette is reduced to its essential elements. Inspired by abstract architectural language, it emphasizes clean lines, balanced proportions, and the authenticity of the material. Both functional and sculptural, the piece naturally structures a shelf, desk, or bookcase, introducing rhythm and visual density into the space.
