BO.06 - Having a cigarette

An abstract architectural composition exploring structure, void, and geometric balance.

Inspired by minimalist and Brutalist architecture, this sculptural object explores the relationship between intersecting planes, structural openings, and fragmented volumes. Its refined geometry creates a distinctive architectural presence, balancing abstraction with a quiet sculptural expression.

Evoking an undefined architectural structure, its fractured silhouette and carefully balanced proportions reveal shifting compositions of light and shadow. Conceived as both an independent sculpture and a collectible design object, it brings depth and architectural character to contemporary interiors.

Hand-cast in a custom mineral composite of ultra-fine cement and high-strength alpha plaster, the piece features a naturally matte finish and subtle mineral texture. Pigments are integrated directly into the material, preserving its depth and consistent color throughout.

MATERIAL & CRAFTSMANSHIP

Each sculpture is individually cast, pigmented, and finished by hand in my Madrid studio. Subtle variations in tone, pores, and surface texture are inherent to the process, making every piece unique.

Rooted in architectural experimentation, the object reflects Studio Luminis' exploration of proportion, materiality, and sculptural composition.
