SC.05 - Speed Camera Between Shifts
Handcrafted in Madrid, Spain.
An expressive sculptural composition exploring geometry, tension, and spatial abstraction.
Inspired by Brutalist architecture and expressionist sculpture, this object explores the relationship between structure, movement, and void. Its unconventional geometry challenges traditional architectural order, creating a dynamic composition of intersecting forms and contrasting volumes.
Conceived as an independent artistic experiment rather than a representation of a building, the piece embraces irregularity, structural tension, and geometric freedom. Its sculptural arrangement reveals shifting relationships between mass, light, and shadow from different viewpoints.
Hand-cast in a custom mineral composite of ultra-fine cement and high-strength alpha plaster, the piece combines precise geometric details with a naturally matte finish and subtle mineral texture.
Somewhere between architectural experimentation and abstract expressionist sculpture, it brings a distinctive artistic presence to contemporary interiors.

MATERIAL & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each sculpture is individually cast and finished by hand in my Madrid studio. Subtle variations in tone, pores, and surface texture are inherent to the process, making every piece unique.
Rooted in artistic and architectural experimentation, the object reflects Studio Luminis' exploration of geometric expression, materiality, and sculptural composition.
